Founders/Inventors/Executives

   

    The founders and executive officers of CQENS Technologies Inc., have worked together for decades.  They are industry pioneers, involved in the development, distribution and marketing of reduced and modified risk products via inhalable constituents, including drugs, nicotine and tobacco since 2006. 

       

    Alexander Chong, an experienced entrepreneur and businessman, is the Co-founder, Chairman and CEO of CQENS Technologies, Inc.  He is also the Founder and Chairman of Plexus International, a quality training and consulting organization with 14 international offices, and the Chairman of Xten Capital Group, a holding company engaged in international commerce, financing, IP and product development.  While involved in a joint venture with the originator of the modern e-cigarette, he oversaw a patent strategy resulting in over $500 Million USD in royalties and infringement settlements.   A Boston College graduate with a degree in Chemistry, he is a co-inventor of the 51 current patents and pending patents assigned to CQENS.     

    

    William Bartkowski has had a four-decade career as an educator, banker, inventor, corporate executive and entrepreneur.  The Co-founder, President and Chief Operating Officer of CQENS Technologies, Inc., he is a graduate of the University of Mary, Bismarck, ND, went on to earn an MA from North Dakota State University in 1979 and a PhD in Adult Education in 1984.  A member of the University of Mary Board of Regents since 1989, he served on that institution's Board of Trustees from 2000 to 2006.  Like Chong, he is a co-inventor of the 51 current patents and pending patents assigned to CQENS.   

    

    Daniel Markes has served as CQENS Technologies, Inc.'s CFO and a member of its Board of Directors since its inception.  Markes is an experienced businessman and financial executive.  His background includes having served in various capacities as controller, human resources director, business development specialist and member of the board of directors of a number of organizations throughout his professional career.  He has worked with Chong in various capacities over two decades and with Bartkowski for a decade.  Mr. Markes earned a BBA degree from Brock University, St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada.
